The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the arm is a painless and simple procedure that provides excellent images of the arm including the elbow, wrist, hands, fingers, the surrounding muscles and other associated tissues. The indications include degenerative disorders, rotator cuff tears and impingements, trauma-related joint abnormalities, repetitive strain injuries caused by work or by sporting activities, osteomyelitis and other infections, primary tumours and metastases relating to bones and joints, pain, bleeding and swelling of tissues surrounding the joints, unexpected shoulder pain which does not respond to treatment, reduced range of motion, and to monitor recovery progress following surgery and physiotherapy among others.
